It is quite disheartening & pathetic how the cold hand of death
snatched an erudite professor in Faculty of Arts in the early hours of
today(PROFESSOR R.A.AKANMIDU).Your sudden departure is indeed a colossal
loss to the academic world but we take solace in your immense &
unquantifiable contributions to department of Religions,Faculty of Arts
& University of Ilorin at large which will linger for years to come.
An allusion is drawn from the Bible passage that says“A righteous man
is taken away before the day of destruction”.The fatherly &
unsolicited advice,benevolence & conducive learning atmosphere you
largely made available to us while on earth has immortalized you in our
hearts. I pray the Almighty God will grant the family you left behind
the FORTITUDE to bear the irreplaceable loss. WE LOVE YOU & WE WILL
FOREVER MISS YOU.
